Setting up IPTV Iowa on your device

Every setup is the same three moves: install a player, type in the credentials from your welcome email, and let the guide load. The differences between devices are small, and they are covered one by one below.

Quick Start

The shape of it, whatever you own

Read this once and the device-specific guide below will make sense in about thirty seconds.

1

Get credentials

Take a plan from the pricing page or start with a free 24-hour trial. You'll receive your login credentials via email within minutes.

2

Install a player

The player is a separate free app; we do not make one and you do not need ours. IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate and OTT Navigator all work well β€” the guide below names the best fit per device.

3

Sign in once

Paste the Xtream Codes details or the M3U address from the email. The channel list and the programme guide download themselves, which takes a minute the first time and never again.

Amazon Firestick

By far the most common way our subscribers watch, and the cheapest way into IPTV if you do not already own something. Covers every Fire TV Stick generation and the Fire TV Cube.

  1. Open Settings β†’ My Fire TV β†’ Developer Options and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources β€” the stick blocks side-loading until you do
  2. Grab the free Downloader app from Amazon’s own store
  3. Launch Downloader and type in the address of the IPTV Smarters Pro APK
  4. Let the APK install, then open it once so it finishes setting itself up
  5. Pick "Xtream Codes API" rather than the M3U option, and paste the credentials from your welcome email
  6. Work through the guide and start watching

Recommended Player: IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate

Android TV & Phone

Android TV boxes, the Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, and any Android phone or tablet. TiviMate on an Android box is the nicest guide experience available.

  1. Open Google Play on the Android box, Shield or handset
  2. Look up "TiviMate", or "IPTV Smarters Pro" if you want the simpler layout
  3. Install it and launch it once so it finishes setting itself up
  4. Choose the "Xtream Codes" sign-in, not the playlist one
  5. Type in the server address, username and password exactly as the welcome email lists them
  6. Enjoy 19,000+ channels on your Android device

Recommended Player: TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro

🍎

iPhone & iPad (iOS)

Works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 14 or newer. Handy for watching a game away from the house, and it counts as one of your connections while it is running.

  1. Open the App Store on the iPhone or iPad
  2. Look up "IPTV Smarters Player", with "GSE IPTV" as the fallback
  3. Install it and let it open once before you sign in
  4. Start the app and choose "Xtream Codes API"
  5. Enter the server address, username and password from the email
  6. The guide loads and you are watching, on the phone or the tablet

Recommended Player: IPTV Smarters Player or GSE IPTV

Smart TV (Samsung/LG)

Samsung Tizen and LG webOS sets can run a player straight from their own app store, so nothing extra is plugged in. Older sets are slower than a Firestick and a stick is often the better answer.

  1. Open the set’s own store β€” Galaxy Store on Samsung, LG Content Store on LG
  2. Look up "Smart IPTV", or "IPTV Smarters" where the set carries it
  3. Install it, then open it so it registers the device
  4. Feed it either the M3U address or the Xtream Codes details β€” some sets accept only one
  5. Give the channel list a moment to download, then start watching

Recommended Player: Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters

Windows & Mac

Windows 10 and 11, and macOS Catalina upwards. VLC will play the M3U straight away, though it has no programme guide worth using β€” fine for testing, less so for daily watching.

  1. Install VLC Media Player from videolan.org, which is free and needs no account
  2. In VLC, open Media β†’ Open Network Stream
  3. Paste the M3U address from the welcome email into the box
  4. Press Play and give the list a moment to populate
  5. The channels open straight in the desktop player

Recommended Player: VLC Player or MyIPTV Player

MAG Box

All the common Infomir MAG boxes are supported. These use a portal address rather than a username and password, and we need the box MAC address before it will connect.

  1. Connect your MAG box to the internet and turn it on
  2. On the box, open Settings β†’ System Settings β†’ Servers
  3. Choose Portals and enter the portal address we sent you
  4. Save settings and restart the MAG box
  5. Your IPTV Iowa channels will load automatically after restart

Setup Type: Portal URL (provided in welcome email)

If it will not connect

Nine times out of ten it is a typo in the password or a player that wants the portal address rather than the M3U link. Email us what you see on screen and we will tell you which. Screen sharing is available if that is easier.
